People get upset when some Muslims compare our plight/current situation to Jews in Europe circa 1920s/early 1930s. But the president tonight praised/endorsed a woman who calls Islam a ‘cancer’ & demands Muslims be banned from public office. And most journalists have said nothing.

Where’s the outrage? Where are the demands for an apology? Where are liberal mainstream media journalists demanding GOP leaders disown Loomer and Trump’s tweet? Where are the editorials & op-eds about the mainstreaming of anti-Muslim hatred? Nobody really cares about Islamophobia
If you think it’s only Uighur Muslims or Rohingya Muslims facing genocidal anti-Muslim hatred and violence abroad, and it can’t happen here in the West, you’re in denial. 1) Ask the Bosnians. 2) Check the Twitter feed tonight of the president of the United States. It’s scary.
I would say to my liberal & lefty friends, and my colleagues in the media - it’s not enough to show up at, or cover, airport protests against the Muslim Ban in Jan 2017. Your Muslim fellow citizens need you to be speaking up now & not ignoring the victories of people like Loomer.
