I sometimes wonder if I would be more effective with an anonymous account that drops hints and makes promises on timelines. Lol.
I see anon accounts pop up overnight with cryptic information and then less than 24 hours later they have 700k followers and have effectively created “teams” where if someone questions them they are attacked. It happens OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
I should start cataloging the amount of inquiries I get from folks asking me if they can trust the accounts and if their info is real. I have seen others deal with this. If they say *no* they are summarily attacked as “divisive”
Note: I don’t seriously consider doing this. I am very happy the way I am doing things right now - but it’s insanely frustrating to watch this after working so hard to be diligent about truth and facts and sourcing etc
I’ve seen people that we’ve come to KNOW as people throughout this journey attacked if they step up and say something is BS - something coming from an anon account or a brand new face that no one even knows. It breaks my heart every time.
Most of the time people just accept the new “account” as legitimate and then when someone raises a red flag they attack that person as trying to divide.
I’ve watched this happen to people who have been doing this work A LONG TIME. A random account will pop up sharing a meme and saying someone is bad and all of a sudden people BELIEVE THEM. It’s an operation, folks. They are being run every single day.
Attacks on people doing good work and it is really crazy to see the herd mentality take over. I’m not responding to anything in particular but some of y’all (don’t know who) have created a REALLY horrible bubble where people censor themselves for fear of getting slammed
