Turkey under "Secular" Atatürk:

1. An old Turkish word used for pagan Turkic deities, replaced the customary Allah. Turkish call to prayer replaced the traditional Arabic prayer. The press referred to Islam as an “Arab religion.” https://twitter.com/drshamamohd/status/1295697133241118720

2. Atatürk'e banned the use of Arabo-Persian Ottoman script and replaced it with a Latin one. In place of the Majalla— the hybrid Ottoman legal code produced in the nineteenth century, he imported the Swiss Civil Code banishing Islamic law from every aspect of social life.

3. Atatürk'e decried Islamic precepts and conventions such as almsgiving and hospitality as “rules and regulations made in the desert 1,300 years ago” that were no longer practical in the present.

4. Followers of Atatürk'e even attacked the fundamental Muslim ritual of worship (Salah/Namaz) on the grounds that a modern person could not *waste* his precious time performing a religious rite five times a day.

5. In 1913, a leading Westernist, Kılıçzâde Hakkı, whom Atatürk'e later made a parliamentary deputy, issued a blueprint of a future society in which the madrasas were abolished, hat took the place of fez, dervish lodges were closed down and state took control of religion.

6. Religion was replaced with nationalism, and religious sentiment with ethnic identification. Mustafa Kemal acclaimed the treatise: “Din Yok Milliyet Var: Benim Dinim, Benim Türklü ümdür” (There Is No Religion, Just Nationality: My Turkishness Is My Religion).

But what would Congress know about secularism, a party which gave India Operation Polo, Kashmir crisis, Calcutta, Hashimpura, Maliana, Moradabad Eidgah, Turkman Gate, Bhagalpur, Babri, Mumbai 1993, Muzaffarnagar & other countless riots and pogroms. And not to forget the draconian

laws like AFSPA, TADA, UAPA.....& fabricating an entirely fictitious Indian Mujahideen (IM) térröríst group, the Batla house fake encounter & so on and so forth.
Your party is so secular that despite being in power for 60+ years, it never bothered to ban RSS, except on three

occasions that too as mere tokenism. RSS flourished right under your party's wings, your party leaders don't even want to ban it in the name of having "pluralistic views" in the country, while you were swift to ban SIMI & are now going after SDPI & PFI despite having no concrete

evidences against them.
Get off your high horse & look into the mirror before you go about lecturing others on secularism & brandishing others as extremists.
