Been watching The Great Passage anime on Amazon. It’s been an enjoyable watch so far. The line “suki desu” was translated as “I have feelings for you” and I thought that was such a smart choice. It was fitting and held more weight than the usual misplaced “I love you”.
My only qualm with the anime is I feel Takahiro Sakurai is a bad fit for Majime. I saw the live action film last year and the actor who played Majime, Ryuhei Matsuda, did such a great job at capturing his quiet and awkward persona. The anime casting leaves a lot to be desired imo
