What a complete joke. @cityofwinnipeg Westminster and Maryland. Absolutley no care in the world given to anyone else but motor vehicles.
.
Is this construction practice normal in other cities around the world? Im tired of this. @JaniceLukes @DeviSharmaWpg @mathieuallard @jbrowaty
Some accountability needs to start happenning this year or a resignation needs to happen and public apologies. Im fed up with stumbling upon this chaos around the city. It’s heartbreaking listening to ppl think the city is dangerous to walk/roll through. No wonder. #PublicWorks
How do you get to Food Fare safely without a motor vehicle?

A - extra 250m
B - 614m
C - 503m
or D - 761m
+ I'm not even sure all intersections are possible for crossing. You'd have to find out on the spot at each crossing in all scenarios. Ill report back later today w/ photos.
Lets start with option A.

You'd get 150m and realize you can't cross Maryland. Sure, you'd probably know that, so you'd go down to Wolseley and be greeted with option B
Option B: You'd get 225m and realize you can't cross Maryland because the two intersections are obliterated.
Option C: So maybe you go back to the start and go North towards option C. **found out later that what I marked is a back lane not a road and to boot you cannot cross Maryland at Purcell Ave. So now you'd maybe keep going and try Option D.
Option D: Nope, can't cross Maryland there at Sara Ave. either. So now what? Well I kept going since I had full water bottle.
New Option E: - 1.00km detour, but I don't think it's possible due to the dirt+gravel all over the road and the narrow unmarked crossing at Maryland & Westminster.
New Option F - 1.27km detour. So now I'm lead to believe the only safe crossing is a new option F. Except at the start of Walnut St, they tell you there is no exit so realistically I probably wouldn't even try.
New Option G - 1.41km unmarked detour to the grocery store.
