No instructor I know from UPT/FTUs is happy w/ the direction of training right now. We've been cutting hours massively & have been since 2016 when the hail storm hit Laughlin. We're heading towards a quality cliff faster than leadership will acknowledge. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/08/18/air-force-cut-use-of-jayhawk-trainer-rely-more-simulators.html?fbclid=IwAR28vZVrWqy6s132j5O60nY-4jTrXl4JokBuhuy7dQqSvZxYUYptbbhqLZU
19AF/CC posted this same article on an AF mobility pilot page & I still haven't found a positive response. Even the standard "with all due respect" disappeared when critiquing the Gen. Active, Guard, Reserve, retirees - the theme is the same: "You're going to get people killed."
"This is dumb dangerous & different."
"The good idea fairy is stealing all my nickels." (Reference to "a nickel in the grass" for fallen aircrew)
"Seems like an overwhelming response in unison. The answer is NO."
"No deaths, no change. No one cares unless enough people die."

Having just come from UPT & having a lot of friends across T-6/T-1/T-38, Active, & Reserve I think it's safe to say the public Facebook statements to the 19AF/CC are the most polite comments regarding the change. People were fired up about training well before the article.
