All their pleading fell on deaf ears. He insists it’s the law and his hands are tied!

SCENE 4: “I’m so happy for you, Rita! I hope he takes good care of you. It’s not easy getting a man these days…” Rita smiled and hugged her friend, Gloria. She just told her and Jane she just started dating some guy she met on a training she went for out of town a month ago...
The snag is, the guy is married, but she decided to go with the flow. Jane wasn’t impressed and she was very blunt about it: I will NOT support your relationship with a married man. Gloria was more understanding.
