The anti-LGBT, Semitic, Muslim and porn/sex work rage coming out of QAnon is not new. It started long ago, but took off in the U.S. under Edwin Meese lll, who led an anti-pornography crusade and served as a liaison to the conservative evangelical community under Reagan.
Currently, Ed Meese plays an active role at The Heritage Foundation, where he was instrumental in guiding the confirmation battle of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Gary Bauer worked for Ed Meese on the White House staff for two years before moving to the Education Department - where he was an advocate for school prayer, called for curbs on porn and criticized school curriculums as "value-free".
After leaving the White House, Bauer became President of the Family Research Council and a Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family - right-wing anti-LGBT organizations. Bauer also gave an anti-Muslim hate speech at FRC's 2010 Value Voters Summit.
