idrk how to put this and just clarifying this is not an attack it’s just something i noticed and i was like hmm, okay so it’s just curious to me how some people say that barchie was supposedly the main couple and that they were being planned from the beginning bc of the comics
but what about varchie? you can absolutely dislike them but they are as iconic in the comics as u think barchie is, not to mention they were kinda of an actual couple while betty pined after archie and he neglected her for v always, only paying attention to her when she didn’t
show interest in him or something like that, anyways ig my point is v is just as much as a main character as b and varchie was always supposed to be together no matter how much u hate them and i do believe that the internalized xenophobia keeps people from seeing that cause
why the hell would the latina girl get the guy, the main character, if the white all america girl is right there? is hard for some people to perceive veronica as an equal to betty because of that and i’m not saying it’s on purpose but it’s associated to the stereotypes 
also yes my favorite characters are betty and jug and they’re also my favorite ship and the shows main couple, but i’m also latina and i know how we’re seen and treated on tv and by the audience specially in the us (not america bc america is the continent
