I’ve been speaking with folks in EU intelligence services and it sounds like at least the broad strokes of the amazing Ukraine catfishing a couple dozen Russian mercenaries into admiting their crimes in Dombass as a CV for a job in Libya that was really gonna be a courtroom 1/?

Ukraine picked 32 Russian gunthugs they wanted to arrest for Dombass crimes including Malaysia Air shoot down. Got them all to send their CVs and confirm all their crimes in interviews they thought was for a job in Libya.

And got them all to fly to Minsk before transiting to Istanbul except the plane was gonna land in Kyiv and they would be arrested. And obviously convicted because they’d already confessed in the fake job interview.

And as one source points out the entire plan worked. The Russian mercs were clueless and about to head to the airport to fly to Istanbul but actually Kyiv. Someone dimed the operation but operationally the shit worked.

I’m speechless. And various people in the field so to speak I’ve talked are using phrases like ‘nearly the greatest operation in a generation’ and ‘what fucking rock stars’ and my favorite ‘take away here is dont fuck with Ukrainians.’

Follow people like @christogrozev who are doing the real reporting from the Ukrainians on it but from a intel community side of things it sounds like this story is at least being taken seriously and the broad strokes appear to be true.
