So many feelings, but mostly GRATITUDE. For two years, I got to work alongside the best creatives and journalists in the business.

We got to find stories that mattered, and tell them urgently, with passion, conviction, humor.

And hand movements. :) https://twitter.com/DEADLINE/status/1295735230746120194
Every ep I worked on was a ride, from the Canada episode where we grilled Trudeau, to Immigration Enforcement, where I uncovered errors in a think tank’s report through my fact-checking. (Fact-checking ftw!)

But here are the eps dear to me, ones I pitched + produced till the end

A peak: highlighting young Chinese feminist activists for a NETFLIX SHOW! Showing that vibrant, creative subversion DOES exist among Chinese youth.

+ seeing Xiaowen Liang completely kick ass during her interview, going toe to toe with Hasan!
I knew nothing about cricket before being asked to pitch a potential episode on it, and then I went down a crazy rabbit hole of research and outlined the most gobsmacking of a story.

(And somehow ended up in a WhatsApp chat with Lalit Modi lol)
I pitched an episode about Asian American political power just as I was becoming a citizen.

The research for this episode was transformative for me personally. And I’m so happy to hear it meant so much to a lot of you, too.
Oh and also— I got Hasan to go on Subtle Asian Traits! You’re welcomeee
It’s the end of an era.

But there are so many more stories to be told, communities to be engaged. Elections to win.

There’s so much to do out there, and I’m staying excited + open to what’s next. Holler if you have any ideas! ✨✨
