1/ I've built my working form of Saturn over the past 8 years as a yang symbol rooted in the Senex, depicted like a dry old rider waite Hermit. But in the past few days I've had a storm of insight pushing me forcefully into a position of understanding Saturn as Yin/Feminine
2/ The Dorotheus typo that fixes and balances the diurnal and nocturnal sect. Reading about Saturn as the female eunuch in Vedic astrology, and the Golden Dawn associating Saturn with Binah.
3/ I realise now that my model of saturn was so desiccated, like old dusty parchment and cobwebs in a tangled beard.
4/ That's still there, but in opening to the idea of Grandmother Saturn I feel completely electrified in finding a container for Saturn that permits the gravity, the waters, the mysticism and the deep nurturing qualities I *know* about her.
5/ I recently watched a presentation by Acyuta bhava-dasa titled The Mystical Saturn wherein he makes the case for a deeper and broader view of the planet incorporating many of these elements I'm constellating around the idea of Grandmother Saturn.
6/ He goes on to mention therein how Neptune was discovered while conjoined Saturn, and explores ways by which the two planets have deep sympathy.
7/ Natally have Saturn in Capricorn (feminine Saturn sign), and like my peers I've entered the final stages of my return during this epochal meltdown.
8/ I welcome anything that Saturn can teach me to make me better able to serve myself and those I love in such trying times, and finding a container or channel for the mystical waters of this archetype is incredibly(!) potent to this end.
9/ Finally to add, I've just begun working in a care home. The majority of the residents I care for are elderly women. I'm having a crash course in Grandmother medicine at the moment, and the whole thing has me emotional and grateful. I wanted to get some of these thoughts to…
