Today marks the 100th-anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment. Women from across the nation came together and fought for the right to vote, pushing our country closer towards equality. #WomensVote100
As the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment, Wisconsin women have a long history of organizing and activism. I stand with the women of our district and nation as we celebrate the progress we’ve made and continue to work towards equality.
If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate, check Leffel Roots in Eau Claire who is commemorating with a corn maze! If you check it out, make sure to social distance and bring a face-covering! https://www.weau.com/2020/08/17/leffel-roots-honors-19th-amendment-with-corn-maze/
