Do these understand a word of Gurbani? They think "hair" determines if they are Sikh.
Who is your Guru? Guru Granth Sahib or McAuliffe? Can you tell me where in the SGGS it says that long hair will get you moksha? You can keep it, that's fine. But it doesn't make you Khalsa. https://twitter.com/kidasssengh/status/1295727516972441601

You didn't answer my question? Who is your Guru? https://twitter.com/kidasssengh/status/1295807225823404033?s=20
Please give a reference to original Gurmukhi verse.
And isn't SGGS your living Guru? And the 5Ks are so important but your living guru completely forgot to mention these?
Understand what the Gurus are saying, don't make a mockery of their great teaching. https://twitter.com/kidasssengh/status/1295807814208819206?s=20

Lol, do you know what those verses mean?
"Not a hair on my head was harmed." This is an expression to say, I was unhurt.
"ਰੋਮ ਰੋਮ" is not about hair! It's about the experience of prana suffusing the body. Experience it first. Don't distort my Gurus. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295810148850708480?s=20

A lot of Hindu Sadhus don't cut their hair. But the Guru's teachings are not about hair. They are about Self realization. You've lost all the Self-realization and are stuck in the symbols. This is exactly what the Gurus were trying to get people out from. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295812376286171148?s=20
I'm not for or against people keeping hair. There is value in it. A lot of Hindu sanyasis keep long hair. A lot of Buddhist sanyasis don't.
But don't make the Guru's high teachings about hair, while missing the entire point of it.

The "source of my information" is my intuition gained through sadhana. This allows me access to what the Gurus are saying. They are talking of a very high knowledge my friend. Don't turn it into a "religion" which is a political doctrine with no gyan. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295813830761734146?s=20
I am not disrespecting it. I respect those that choose to keep their hair. But there were a lot of followers of Nanak who treat SGGS are their Guru, who don't follow the 5 Ks. Are they not Sikh? If you consider SGGS your guru then follow what it says.

I don't have any "religious beliefs" or a "religion." I have investigated all major religions and traditions of the world as a practitioner from esoteric Christianity to Sufi zikr. I have return to the wisdom of Indian sages which I find most profound. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295815905511968768?s=20
Though I learnt many meditation practices over many years, my sadhana is in the path of yoga. Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, dhyana, Samadhi. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295817470469603329?s=20
Yes, for many years I followed the Gurdjieff Work that is influenced by esoteric Christianity.
I have also participated in various Church services, but that was mostly as a way to learn. https://twitter.com/SandeepAtwal8/status/1295819278063513600?s=20

I'll agree you are at that advanced stage when you stop fanning a book. Does it get hot?
You think Muslims have transcended idols though they rail against it? Try to burn the paper & ink of their "Holy Book."
Only the enlightened are free. Very few are. https://twitter.com/Senghkhalsa/status/1295818923166834690?s=20

The Khalsa initiation has been turned into "baptism" by Brit-Sikhs.
It is not like Christian "baptism." Guru Gobind Singh wanted to create a militant response to the atrocities of Mughals. He wanted fearless Hindu/Sikhs pledged to the cause, he initiated them into the Khalsa.

Why is it not like Christian Baptism? In Christianity only the baptised are "saved" others are bound for hell. "The effect of baptism is the remission of all sin, original and actual."
This is profoundly un-Indic. There is no "baptism" in Sikhi.

The Khande di Pahul it Amrit Sanskar is more like a vow of service for the militant order that Guru Gobind Singh was starting to resist the Mughal. It was required historically. It was a vow to life a lifestyle dedicated to being a rebel militant force. It is not theological.
The fashioning of the Khalsa is a historical event for historical circumstances. It has no relation to Christian baptism which has claims of eschatological import (what happens after death), based on scriptural authority. But under British rule, it became fashioned as "baptism."
People can wear it as an identity, that's fine. Many different panths flourished within Indian traditions. But those stuck to identity miss the point of the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib.
Where are the 5Ks not in SGGS. It is not just that Guru Gobind Singh made it later.

As I said the Khalsa "initiation" is a particular historic event. The SGGS has no interest in it. It is an esoteric text of liberation or mukti. What does it say? Sat Sri Akal. The Real is not bounded by time. Akal is that which is beyond time. Only that which is Akal is Sat.
The Guru is teaching of the Reality that is beyond time. Don't turn this beautiful teachings of the Guru into "identity politics" or into history-centrism.
When SGGS says (from Kabir) I'm neither Hindu nor Muslim, it is *rejecting* identity, not making a "new religion."

The thread started when someone objected to me calling myself Khalsa and said I don't wear kesh.
They want to be the historical "identity" Khalsa, I humbly seek to be the Khalsa of the Living Guru.
This what Sri Guru Granth Sahib says of "Khalsa"—the only reference it has.

To justify absurdites, Sikh Wiki translates "Keshav", a name for Krishna, into "his Hair is Wondrous and Beautiful", even though the verses above clearly refer to Krishna.
This is the kind of distortions of the Guru's word they do to fit into Brit-Sikhi. https://twitter.com/h_dhill0n/status/1295827002457374720?s=20

This is what SGGS says about Krishna (and the verse above also refers to Krishna a few lines earlier to it is clear what Keshav is referring to.)
