There are several factors that can cause this.
Here's a list of food items that are a sure-fire bet to supercharge your metabolic health and will get you shedding🏃‍♂️ or shredding🏋️‍♂️ in no time:
1. COFFEE☕
Thank God for coffee! Caffeine has a stimulatory effect on the rate at which our bodies burn calories. That makes it a great option pre-workout or on the fly. 2 to 4 cups of coffee a day, taken neither too early nor too close to bed, and before you pump iron is ideal.
2. TEA🍵
Catechins and L-Theanine, are active compounds found in tea. In association with caffeine, they help mobilise fats and puts them to good use - as fuel for energy.
3. PROTEINS🥩
Proteins require significant energy from the body for their breakdown, giving your metabolism a boost in the process. They also have a higher Thermic Effect (TEF) than other macronutrients. Eggs, Steaks, Poultry and Fish are all good options!
4. CHILI PEPPERS🌶
Hot hot! The Capsaicin inside these bad boys aids fat oxidation and has thermogenic effects.

Similar in many ways to chili peppers, the Cinnamaldehyde in cinnamon sticks has a thermogenic effect and raises metabolism.
