People aren’t going to like hearing this, but defunding law enforcement is the best thing to happen for child traffickers in a long time.
The resources law enforcement had to stop child trafficking (and all human trafficking) were pathetically inadequate. Now, in many places, they’re nearly non-existent if not gone. Sex trafficking is becoming one of the biggest industries in the world and is growing exponentially.
Police need way more and better training, and better and more accessible help for the mentally ill and troubled teens couldn’t be more important to stop the cycle of crime and violence. But stripping resources from the people who stop traffickers and rescue their victims is evil.
I am begging you to look into this. Without law enforcement, trafficking victims, many of whom are children, can’t be saved.
