So re: Tatís Jr., I just find it funny how much more the “unwritten rules” of sports civility are applied at whim to non-white players.
Granted the only grand slams I’ve ever been responsible for were elementary school kickball, but I have been disciplined for “flagrant disregard” for mercy rules in high school when the same coach would have berated me for not being aggressive enough on offense in that same game.
The Padres were up 10-3 in the 8th inning before his grand slam. I’m sorry this dreadlocked blonde baby scored 4 points in a single play, maybe the pitcher throws better next time idk
The only mistake he made was to apologize because he did absolutely nothing wrong but be great at a sport he loves. Fuck your racial disciplining disguised as good sportsmanship and “civility.”
