There are quite a few programming and speaking similarities b/w this 2020 Dem convention and the one four years ago: Bernie and Michelle Obama speaking on Monday; Bill Clinton going Tuesday.

But I'm not sure we've reflected the biggest difference -- beyond 2020's virtual nature
1. That 2016 Dem convention in Philly was rocked by the WikiLeaks disclosures of the hacked DNC emails that led to the resignation of the DNC chair.

(Hello, Russian interference.)
2. Due in large part to those disclosures -- though not solely because of it -- division b/w Hillary and Bernie delegates broke out on the convention floor
3. Earlier in the day before his speech, Sanders was even booed by his own backers after he urged support for Hillary
Now because that disunity lessened after Sanders' speech, because Dems got a convention bounce in the polls, and because the GOP convention was even more chaotic.... it's easy to forget that disruption in '16.

But it was there.
