i do see a plausible path to civil war, but what i actually expect to happen is balkanization. i expect our social services to completely collapse and for existing state governments and communities to step in and fill (or not fill) the void. we need a plan for that outcome (2/6)

when i say "grow food," it's not because i expect a massive apocalypse that will immediately collapse all of society. it's because i expect more and more people in the community to need help getting it as time progresses. if enough of us grow food, nobody goes hungry (3/6)

when i say "buy a gun," it's not because i expect open warfare in the streets. it's because i expect protests to be attacked violently by armed white supremacists. and for the foreseeable future, a very well-trained militia will be needed to protect our right to be heard. (4/6)

when i say "organize labor and tenants," it's not because i expect a dramatic overthrow of the rich where we physically drag them out of their houses and decapitate them. it's because those are going to be the best strategies to secure financial and physical stability (5/6)
