The reason I particularly dislike developers as a cultural unit is that they call themselves "hackers" and "makers" but don't hack nor make shit that matters and then pretend marketers are to blame.
Hack to wipe down student debt, make a tool that helps stop fascism and trust me we can work nicely.
They be like "I hate marketing" but everything they consume is brought to them by marketers, and they earn what they earn from companies that do decent marketing.
Not even all the money on Facebook can force someone to download your shitty app. Not even Facebook can. "Make" better shit.
