Closing down of Sterlite plant will go down in history as one of the worst example in recent times of left wing politics.
Capacity of the Sterlite plant was 4-lakh-tonne. It was one of the major producers of copper in India. India has lost around Rs. 40000 crores due to closure of the plant. It lost $1.2 billion in foreign exchange alone. Guess who profited at India’s expense? Pakistan and China.
