. @BernieSanders has not gotten enough credit for his incredible patriotism in this election cycle.

The patriotism of fighting like hell for real change, calling spades spades, challenging power.

And now the patriotism of grace in defeat and lockstep militancy against fascism.
There are people who want you to primary as if there were no general election, and people who want you to general election as if there were no primary. He has shown the world how you primary when it's primary time and you general when it's general time.
He has changed the American conversation, yanked open the Overton Window on political economy, as much as any figure in modern times.

But if we are lucky enough to get past November with the fascist losing, Sanders must also be credited with doing everything to deliver his base.
When I reported on @BernieSanders, I was struck by this duality:

His mother died young in a cruel healthcare system.

His father's relatives were murdered by fascists.

Sanders fought like hell to fix the first thing. But when he lost, he never lost sight of the second thing.
For those on the left who still struggle with this election, channel Bernie.

He is still fighting to avenge his mother.

But to pursue that fight to the exclusion of awareness of what happened to his father's family would be irresponsible.

He is not choosing but prioritizing.
TL;DR: If you think you can out-Bernie Bernie by sitting this one out, maybe examine yourself. If you liked him when he was fighting for your healthcare, stick with him when he's fighting for your very freedom.
And then, after November, channel Chomsky and stand with Bernie and give Joe Biden some real change hell.
