Fort Bend ISD, which started online classes Monday, provided some of the most detailed enrollment, staffing and tech data I've seen to date. A brief thread.

As of last week, FBISD confirmed enrollment of 67,061, with 2,202 pending. District had 77,756 last year.
Fort Bend ISD plans to bring about 800 students receiving special education services onto campuses next week, but still needed to find staff to cover 17% of classes.

District offered on-campus instruction to 1,400 students, but families of 600 children chose to stay online.
As of last week, Fort Bend ISD hadn't distributed enough laptops and hotspots to meet the demand from families.

However, the district distributed another 5,000 laptops in the past week and received a shipment of 1,600 hotspots Monday, Superintendent Charles Dupre said.
As of last week, 587 of the district's 10,700 staff requested work accommodations. To date:

420 are pending
151 approved
2 denied
14 withdrawn

Nearly all deemed "vital" or "essential" staff by district, meaning their jobs aren't conducive to work-from-home.
Fort Bend ISD, which remains in online-only classes with limited exceptions, has divided employees into 3 classes:

-- Essential
-- Vital
-- Conducive to work from home

I'd expect more accommodation requests when more "conducive to work from home" staff are called into campuses.
