[Thread]: Best thing I did while employed
From 2016 I held my last ever corporate job

I worked for the biggest telecom company in Canada

2016-2018, I was a territory sales manager, and had to be in the office 1 day a week
Rest of the time I was home/on the road

Managing 3 sales channels:
-50+ retail stores
-Small telemarketing team (which I "invented" based on my prior experience leading a 200-person contact centre)
-Small door to door sales team
My Sales VP was a BEAST

Hardest guy I ever worked for, he was highly strategic and ruthless

Not how I lead my people, but I learned a lot from him and he treated me "special" because I drove more more revenue than anyone else

Colleagues were "jealous" he was nicer to me
Sometime in 2017 I learned about online business, originally through ecom then info-products

I started dabbling in both, but I was all over the place with shiny object syndrome
In 2018 I decided I wanted to work from home all the time so I could focus on online biz

At the time I was working 60-70 hours not including travel time

Was making about 150K, so hourly wage wasn't that good, I knew I would do much better running my own thing eventualy
I found an opening in marketing

I pulled some strings and not only got the job... I negotiated a "secret" work from home arrangement

This was *unheard of* at my company.

But I showed I drove better results than any of my peers... and was willing to shave my pay by almost 50%
So my boss and her boss kept a secret

I was home all the time, telling people in office A I was in office B, and telling people in office B I was in office A

In about 14 months, I spend maybe 10 days in the office, LOL
But now... I was at home full time

So I got serious about my own biz

I made it a point to always respond fast and drive killer results
My boss knew I wouldn't be around for a long-time, but she was very supportive

In fact, we may do a biz together in the future

Anyway, while I was running national marketing campaigns, I was able to get all my work done in about 25 hours a week
Guess what I did with the rest of my time?

I learned copywriting, I improved my sales skills (much love to @ROGUEWEALTH) and identified Dental as my first niche
I found a dentist in my FAR network...

My wife's friend's ex-BF

Who was willing to give me a $6000 ad budget

(I worked for free)
So I went to work

Researched the market to DEATH

And ended up creating my first successful funnel

From 6K in ad spend, we returned 35K in revenue
I had money, so I started running paid traffic (facebook ads) to get discovery calls

After I signed my first paid client

I quit my job
Then I joined an elite marketing mastermind

Invested 10K to level up

And between July 2019 and now, I increased my income by 5X, which is about to become 10X
So if you're working from home now...

You know what to do
