All of this achieved without ever bending or breaking from their original vision. From the sleeves to the lyrics. From the clothes to the videos. Everything was careful, considered and meaningful.
If you like beer and boorishness then there are other bands available.

But if you were awkward, introverted and a bit peculiar then only Pulp and Suede mattered...

Little wonder that for many of us they were the most important band of the time and remain a thrill to this day. That they may not be seen as such by others says something about them and nothing about us.
