[ #HK Education Bureau is the new #MinistryofTruth]

1/ The HK Education Bureau launched the so-called “professional consultancy service” for #LiberalStudies textbooks last year. Content related to pro-democracy protests were censored from the revised textbooks.

2/ In one of the censored textbooks, there was a practice question on “civil disobedience”, students were provided with reference materials related to the Umbrella Revolution. The whole question simply disappeared from the revised version without proper explanation.

3/ Descriptions like “Police enforcement had hindered the freedom of protests and assembly of Hong Kong people in recent years”, as well as “NPCSC explanation of the Basic Law undermines rule of law” were removed after Education Bureau’s #censorship.

4/ Photos of Lennon Walls, the 2014 Occupation Movement and the 2016 Mong Kok “Fishball” Revolution, and even the names of political organisations like #HongKongIndigenous and @demosisto were also censored.

5/ Pro-Beijing camp has blamed Liberal Studies for radicalising students for years. The censorship of its textbooks is only part of the plan for the Regime to take full control over the subject and Hong Kong’s education system.

6/ The Regime is working day in and day out putting out Hong Kong people’s will to resist and whipping off the history of our fight for democracy. Further #censorship on Hong Kong's school curriculum is expected.

7/ Standing against the Regime’s propaganda machine, #HongKongers will try our best to defend our memories related to this movement and this city, which would be written in the history books of the Hong Kong Nation.
