I've been seeing this a lot on my timeline and, personally, I am getting tied of it. This follow for follow mindset, is like an illness. Don't people know, those are just numbers. "But all we are doing is supporting each other". No. Wrong answer
If you really want to grow your channel, let people find you and follow you because of your content. Not because "Oh, you followed me? I'll follow you back". This way, you are building a trustworthy community. "I bet you've done it too". No. No I haven't.
When I am done streaming, I will sometimes go into the directory and look for someone to support and sending my community in support. And after that host, I do not tell them to follow me back. They do that on their own, if they so choose.
One good example. @awretchedkitten . I found her channel about 2 years ago and randomly hosted her. We've been friends ever since. I never forced her to follow me back. And when I announce I am live, I don't say "Come follow me". I say "Come join in". There is a big difference.
Now, before this gets out of hand. Let me say this, I am not forcing people what to do. Do what you want. I am only giving my 2 cents on the matter. Have a wonderful day 👍👌👊
