What people don't realize is that the stopping of enforcement of LA parking laws (like no staying over 72 hrs) & laws against moving people living in tents vans overnight on residential sts, has led to residents abused & threatened w/violence, w/no recourse. Police told me... (1)
...yesterday afternoon when they cam that they feel bad that they can’t enforce & it’s residents who are being abused. You see these situations in posts on NextDoor. Big tent cities risen up in formerly safe residential neighborhoods, residents afraid to leave their homes...(2)
...have burglary (if they do leave), people shooting up on their property, public health hazards on their block.

We have hipster bullies now living on street in front of my house wk & a half. Girl made it very clear she’s not homeless; she’s “camping.” Tricked out VW van... (3)
...with solar panels. She now has BF staying with her, like she's running a mobile Holiday Inn on our street. He's some well-to-do hipster with a nice motorcycle, nice leather jacket. Not homeless. Just taking advantage of laws being lifted along with hipster GF. ... (4)
Hipster BF bully runs his motorcycle for 10 minutes, leaving it there in front of my house while he’s in the van, poisoning me with fumes. Other neighbors angry, too. 3am motorcycle? Um, no.

When her repeatedly barking dog in the van made my house constantly noisy... (5)
...plus there’s constant the KA-slam!KA-slam! KA-slam! of the side VW door (shaking my 100-year-old house and waking me up in the mid of night and disturbing my work), I told her nicely that “we’re close to the street here, noise travels inside,” & asked her please move van...(6)
...and she informed me she was staying put. (She first said she’d leave “tomorrow” and then went all bully and said I couldn't make her leave.) (These people abusing us know nothing's being enforced now, laws that police used to use to protect residents from abuse...(7)
...I’m a thin, middle-aged woman w/foofy dog. I prob seem good for the victimizing. Um, wrong. NextDoorers suggest I resort to various illegal behaviors. No. Libertarian, and do not resort to violence (dangerous, BTW) or property damage...(8)
I may have found policy-driven way to get rid of these bullies. We’ll see today. Got the idea from being all chatty with awesome lady at LAPD Dispatch when I called about motorcycle "disturbing the peace." Suggestion from NextDoor poster + our community policing guy...(9)
...encouraged me to call. I had felt reluctant because noise would start -- Slam! Slam! Slam! of the VW door at 3 am, certainly intentionally louder, as I perceive it...meant to disturb/awaken -- and then it would stop, so it wasn't like persistent noise cops would arrive... (10)
...and hear. Anyway, hopeful that clever solution driven by LAPD Dispatch lady will work. Police will use what they can to enforce when there's abuse of residents, but LA pols have left them with NO MEASURES IN PLACE (formerly in place) to protect residents. (11)
Meanwhile, our City Councilman @MikeBoninLA, has gotten a house in Palisades, where he won't have to suffer abuse his constituents do (that he does fuck all about), & @ericgarcetti only cared about bringing Olympics to LA, representing only his boyhood dream not we who live here.
END.

And no, I did not vote for Bonin or Eric Garcetti, both of whom have contributed substantially to the ruin of LA while representing their own interests under the guise of representing the residents.
