1 Hello all,
So I have an updated list of history games that are free for those who download Blue Maxima's Flashpoint installer, designed to preserve many of the thousands of Flash games that will mostly stop working this year. https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/downloads/
2 I have not vetted all these titles, simply confirmed through the title or through my own experience, or through running the game quickly that these are games on historical topics or social studies topics: QUALITY & CONTENT VARY!!!! CHECK BEFORE PUTTING IN THEM FRONT OF KIDS
3 That said, the BBC games on this are great and Clarus Victoria's original flash versions of Bronze Age, Marble Age, and Stone Age, are gems, as is High Tea and some important serious games. Like the Redistricting Game and Sept. 12th, 3rd World Farmer, and Darfur is Dying.
4. So I can export the list as a .json file and I'm happy to email that to anyone who would like: then you can just import my list of games. But here is a screenshot of the list so you can just go find them yourself on Flashpoint.
Happy exploring!
5. Please note that one has the supervisory headache of giving young players access to mature content games if they download Flashpoint, but if that is not an issue for your teaching situation, do note that this Flashpoint player and games are free. At least you could project.
