Remember when studying Medicine and Law were the silver bullet to becoming wealthy?

Most parents them pushed their children in with the expectation of they becoming rich. This led to oversaturation and the wherever there's oversupply, price plummets.
Some who wanted to study medicine or law for money have become interior decorators, photographers, football betting analysts and a myriad other side hustles that have become the main hustle. Doctors are always striking due bcos no pay. Ngige said they should go into farming.
Young lawyers are getting offered 50k jobs, some drivers earn more.

So at the end of the day, a lot of parents have failed on their calculated risk.

Imagine spending all that time and resources studying or learning things we actually enjoy.
Only those who enjoy what they do are going to be able to put the thousands of hours necessary to become exceptional at them into it.

If you find yourself losing focus in your profession and finding it increasingly boring and yourself lacking enthusiasm at it.
I think it might be time to make that decision. Better late than never.

To become an expert at any profession, you must invest thousands and thousands of hours into same. They become increasingly difficult as they become more complex. Only those who can derive pleasure
in the process because of the natural fascination they have with such professions will be able to put in those hours and actually enjoy it. If you do enjoy it, then it won't feel like a chore and you'll be able to find it within you to invest the needed hours.
For those who have lost interest, hopefully you have found something else you love. You have to be very practical about it, if you enjoy photography it means you have to remain at your job to save up to afford equipments and build up small clientele before you leave.
Nigeria is hard. Don't take excessive risks. Be intentional about your moves, if it means slugging away at current work to save up to give yourself a financial cushion, then so be it. Don't leave with nothing if you're not from a wealthy family.
But I assure you, only those who enjoy their professions will become recognised in it. Each and every profession is hard no matter how pedestrian you view it. The only people who can withstand the gruesome nature of it are those who find themselves fascinated by it.
Do what you enjoy and you'll never have to work again a day in your life.

From a fellow struggler.... May your roads be rough.

Hopefully we become the parents that let our children do whatever they love. I wonder what Tayo Aina studied in school.
