Just saying..once again, I will support an El Rufai Presidency Campaign. We need a Shock to the system, and I am pretty sure he is capable of doing that. We don't need good people as leaders, that had been our mistake all along, we need effective leaders who get stuff done.
His candidacy, or even presidency is controversial enough to push us irretrievably forward into the path of peaceful progress or backwards into repression that will lead to War, either of the outcomes is necessary to get Nigeria out of the Limbo it's in.
A Bad El rufai presidency will lead to large scale Rebellion and armed conflict, on a scale we have not seen before, principally because he will try to use powers of State Security to "FIX" things. I am talking oppression on an Abacha scale.
This will logically lead to War, which the north will lose, because at that point in time, almost every tribe will be against the Hausa/Fulani hegemony, most importantly the Southwest would have been shocked out of its apathy and complacency to defend itself.
El Rufai is not a Buhari, that could be defended with the Age or incompetence excuse, or defended with the illusion of moral uprightness. It will be easy to build movements that oppose his Government, even armed movements. So War may happen, restructuring WILL happen.
On the other hand, A Good El Rufai presidency will fix the systemic things wrong with Nigeria. Justice reform, police reform, review the constitution, restructure Nigeria, abrogate the LUA, end federal character, deregulation etc. .He has the force of character to get sheet done
Either ways, if he ever becomes president Nigeria as it is, will be changed forever, for better or for worse..either outcome is acceptable as long as it leads to restructuring.
Hot takes are sexy and appears witty, but if you pay attention , you will see what I am advocating for. Progress or Anarchy, either is better than this limbo. Rufai has a high chance of taking this to anarchy quickly, which will lead to a systemic change..that is my aim.
