This adds an interesting dimension to what people eg . @AyoCaesar were arguing during the A-Levels fiasco about private schools: a version of free thinking is easier to commit to in an elite educational setting, where “anarchy” is less “dangerous” than in a state school
In private schools pupils are all part of an elite institution, so the perception is that they can more safely explore a “progressive” education. It becomes a very different story for a right-wing government if 93% of non-private schools do the same.
