Stolen legacy and history : The ottoman's theft of cultural documents and artifacts

A crime against civilization and the first Saudi state took place on the hands of the Ottoman forces commanded by the Pasha Muhammad Ali and ottoman forces on the aftermath of the fall of the first Saudi state capital city of Ad Diriyah

The Turks plundered and destroyed the unique scientific heritage of Diriyah , killed and imprisoned scholars and enslaved the survivors into the service of the ottomans

Today, we focus on this scientific crime, through Sheikh “Zallali”, the judge of the campaign of Hussein Bey, who organized the looting of very rare Saudi manuscripts, according to the admission of neutrals, and not only the Najdi’s books or letters of Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab

on the value of these literature, but rather the works of An ancient reference for scholars of Iraq, the Levant, Egypt and Yemen.

In a rich study by the Saudi researcher Hamad Al-Anqari, detailing when Ibrahim Pasha left Al-Diriyah, he carried all the books he found in it, and upon his arrival to the city of Harimela, he picked ten loads from them and burned the rest.

And he transferred to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah a set of books that Ibrahim Pasha handed over to Ismail Agha, the headmaster of the buildings in Medina.
The invaders were confused about what to do with this rich library, especially as it contains ancient Islamic origins

and after discussions between Muhammad Ali Pasha and the Ottoman authorities, a royal decision was issued to place the two sets of books confiscated from Najd and Diriyah in the Mahmoudiya school library.

The researcher Al-Anqari tells us that the Saudi manuscripts that were confiscated were classified into two groups, namely the Ibrahim Pasha group and the Hussein Bey group, which are 872 volumes!

The Jordanian writer Muhannad Mobaideen comments, in his article in Al-Hayat newspaper, on Al-Anqari’s study on the scientific wealth in Diriyah, saying: “Al-Diriyah and the men of the Wahhabi movement in the first generation engaged in intellectual discussions

This is only an example of what the Arabs, especially the Saudis, suffered from Ottoman rule and Turkish tyranny , so let the world know
