Major attraction at Chilika is Irrawady dolphins which are often spotted off Satpada Island.
The large Nalabana Island (Forest of Reeds) covering about 16 sq km in the lagoon area was declared a bird sanctuary in 1987.

The lagoon is also home to 14 types of raptors. Around 152 rare and endangered Irrawaddy dolphins have also been reported. Plus, the lagoon supports about 37 species of reptiles and amphibians.

My suggestion -
If u wanna visit Odisha then visit in October- january winter season cos other seasons are hot and humid and u cant resist the sweat and heat :)
