This has been bothering me for a while, and it's become relevant again. Besides the obvious issue of posting triggering content like CoC footage, some of the responses are also uncomfortable. A while ago someone shared a (false) story centered around a skater's trauma.
I was really disturbed by the overwhelming number of comments saying things like "nooo asjgjkg you made me cry <3 how could you do this to me :'(" Putting aside the fact that the story was fake, it felt like fans were making light of a real person's trauma for entertainment?
A real-life person's trauma doesn't exist for you to make your friends sad with random "reminders" or edits. Their suffering does not exist for us to consume with this detached, insensitive mindset. And you don't need to spread trauma p*rn to prove that someone is an inspiration.
