A fun (?) thing I'll do (among other also fun things) throughout the convention is noting how many of these Democrats got their start in local office -- because local candidates like the ones @runforsomething supports are the future of our party. Get exciiiiiited.
Remember: Investing in amazing diverse local candidates is how we build sustainable power. Any convo about the future of the Democratic party that's only talking about the presidency or Congress is missing the bigger picture.
. @RepGwenMoore got her start as a member of the Wisconsin state assembly, and then became the first Black woman elected to the WI state senate.
. @MurielBowser got her start on the DC city council. Municipal offices rule.
