ALABAMA COULD BE THE GO-TO MARRIAGE CAPITAL FOR ALL NON-TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE.

Yeah let Vegas be Vegas, but we have an incredibly progressive marriage process, maybe the most progressive in the nation.

As long as you can legally prove who you are, and prove that you are not married already, and that you are an adult and consenting to the process, nothing can stop you from marrying here--as long as you can get here.

Bet you didn't think that would happen in a million years, what with Alabama having all these regressive and LGBTQ-hating judges out here who won't comply with federal law and marry non-traditional couples.

Those judges are, in fact, EXACTLY WHY OUR MARRIAGE PROCESS CAME ABOUT. People in the counties these probate judges serve in had to travel long distances just to get married. Even the straight ones.

Many of these regressive probate judges followed Kim Davis' lead and just quit issuing marriage licenses altogether. This is obviously a snit fit, done specifically as a middle finger to Obergefell v Hodges.

Notorious kiddie-diddler Roy Moore actually ORDERED Alabama counties not to marry non-traditional couples, which was why he was removed as our state Chief Justice shortly thereafter. 47 of our 67 counties told Moore exactly where to shove it (where the sun don't shine).

So the Alabama Legislature said "yeah fnck that noise" and passed Alabama Act 2019-340. It took effect on 29 Aug 2019.

In a nutshell, you have to have documents proving who you both are, and if you're divorced proof of that too. You fill out a form, and take all your proofs to a notary. The notary vets your proofs and stamps your application. You take it to the county clerk, throw some $$ at them

and BOOM you're fncking MARRIED!!!
