Over a year ago they knew they had an invention for verified blockchain voting that had been tested and worked. So they filed a **provisional patent** that allowed them to keep this a SECRET for a year and 7 months while they got it ready for the PUBLIC rollout.
The actual PUBLIC patent claim was filed on Feb. 7 2020 of this year, just over 6 months ago, but it wasn't publicly HIGHLIGHTED until just a few days ago.
