IMMIGRATION PROPOSAL THREAD

No matter who you are, just hear me out and read to the end.

Just depositing my ideas to the universe. If they stick, cool. If not, well that's one conversation out of the way.

1/12
Currently, on the LOW end, there are about 11M  illegal immigrants in the US. We don't know who most of them are. This is not just a broken system, it was designed this way for political purposes.

My plan stifles politicization & incentivization of mass immigration.

2/12
First things first:

▪End current ineffective immigration system.
▪End birthright citizenship.
▪End welfare entitlement for illegal immigrants (I'll say more about this later in the thread)
▪Implement voter ID laws

3/12
Next we:

▪Implement an Ellis Island approach immigration system. Establish various "Ellis Islands" along the southern border.
▪Screen for diseases, violent criminals, and sex trafficking.
▪For those who pass, issue a Tax ID for employment & formally paying taxes

4/12
Once they're here:

▪New arrivals enter a "zero tolerance probationary period" for 10 years (this combats politicization and outlasts 2 presidential terms)
▪Just ONE heinous crime during probationary period is grounds for removal (murder, rape, armed robbery, etc)

5/12
Once they're here (cont.):

▪They're ineligible for welfare until they've contributed to taxes via payroll for 5 years.
▪Children born to immigrants will assume the same legal status as their parents (not auto citizenship)

6/12
After the 10 year probationary period:

▪They enter permanent resident status where they may remain or they're eligible to apply for citizenship.
▪Referral of 3 US citizens required for citizenship application.
▪No voting rights until citizenship is acquired.

7/12
Notes:

▪Military service with honorable discharge grants auto citizenship not subject to 10 year probationary period
▪Provide Open Season for current illegal immigrants to receive Tax ID. Beyond a certain timeframe, those without the Tax ID are subject to removal.

8/12
This plan is designed to honor the humanity of ALL individuals while baring politicians from:

▪Bribing potential foreign constituents with welfare
▪Politicizing & exploiting less fortunate individuals
▪Employing tactics of foreign interference in elections

9/12
This plan:

▪Let's us know who is who within our borders
▪Removes tax burdens that illegal immigration traditionally comes with
▪Stregnthens the security of our elections
▪Removes aggression against peaceful individuals
▪Provides ONE solid pathway to citizenship

10/12
This plan (cont.):

▪Upholds the freedom of movement & assembly
▪It prioritizes safety for Americans unlike our current system
▪Does away with incentivizing mass immigration

11/12
This is just the framework to my ideas that I believe provides concessions to people on both sides of this argument.

The Latino vote is not a small one. A winning strategy is to treat our friends and family with respect while simultaneously protecting the common citizen.

I would have loved to have a roundtable discussion with many of you to put this together (we still can 😁). I've seen many great suggestions/critiques.
