Random sensation analogy—
Not a great pic, but wanted to recall this “sensation”. While crossing a street today, I got stuck on a narrow median (yes, @ a legal crossing point).
As cars passed by on either side of me, close & quick, a strange, familiar sensation came over me...

Where else have I felt like this?
Safe, but just barely?
On the edge of danger...trusting that each car (driver) is an “ok driver” and will pass by me with no issue?
A tightness in my chest & stomach?

Then I realized what it was. This is the same feeling I have had as a woman, walking somewhere alone at night and passing a man on the sidewalk.
This is exactly how it feels.
