Aaron Hickey's switch to FC Bayern Munich isn't complete yet but it looks likely so here are some thoughts should the deal go through. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇩🇪👇
Hickey should join up with 3. Liga champions Bayern II rather than the u19s - for whom Liam Morrison currently plays.

He'd be an obvious replacement for Derrick Köhn in the reserves. The 21-year-old left for William II in the Eredivise this summer after 3 seasons at Bayern.
While some might point to Köhn's stint in the reserve side as a fate Hickey should be wary of, I'd argue that there are far worse outcomes for a Scottish footballer than an elite level education and the prospect of top-flight football in the Netherlands (in Köhn's case) at 21.
On the flip side of that. 8 of the Bayern II squad made first-team appearances last season and it's worth noting that 6 of that 8 were foreign recruits. The pathway is there and Bayern do a very good job of road mapping and setting clear goals for youngsters.
Moving abroad is tough and having Barry Hepburn (16) and Liam Morrison (17) there could prove to be hugely beneficial Hickey (and the other boys). In the end, between Bayern, Lyon and Bologna, Hickey has some great options but I wouldn't be unhappy to see Bayern win out.
