While I know it’s sometimes a stylistic decision I’d like to point out that double incision top surgery scars rarely underline the pectoral muscle perfectly. Not to mention there’s variations in scar shape bc of body type and chest size before surgery!
Also, double incision scars *usually* are of a slightly curved shape, or even just a straight line, as opposed to a very pronounced crescent moon shape. Def try and look at real top surgery results for reference!
When I first started drawing top surgery scars I would only go off others ppls drawings of them, I had never seen top surgery scar pictures of even bothered to look them up!
I think it’s important to have accurate portrayals of trans bodies in art. It’s a lot of ppls first exposure to what these scars look like, I was actually a bit surprised when I saw real top surgery scars for the first time since my only exposure had been furry art haha.
My own top surgery scars underline my pecs pretty well, but the scars reach underneath my armpit, instead of curving upwards like I’ve seen in some drawings. Here’s an example based on my own scar shape:
