Sorry, but why do teachers always say “we work our backsides off” or “we work incredibly hard”? Why do you need to qualify the difficulty of the work you do? As a Veteran that’s trained ANSF in Afghanistan, is that harder? Different language, threat to life is much higher... 1/ https://twitter.com/jamiekay22/status/1295365303090765826
...and it’s still teaching. I was “teaching” (for one of many tours, on part of it) the theory of radio waves, and how to maximise the distance you can send and receive transmissions in a desert.

Do you not think that @JuliaHB1 and @Iromg works as hard as you? 2/
I would also question who is “lambasting you left, right and centre” it’s nearly heresy to speak bad of our teachers. (The same as speaking ill of nurses is efffectively treason). While I obviously appreciate teachers, I do think they are majority left leaning, I have... 3/
...friends who are teachers and conservatives that have been told not to promote the Conservative party on their personal accounts, yet they tell me the person telling them this will happily attack the Conservatives and promote Labour. 4/
It’s also undeniable that in schools kids are taught a warped view of politics that leads to a “left good, right bad” mentality. You clearly think that by your comment “are they moving further to the right”. No, you’re likely moving further to the left. 5/
Let’s also be honest, humans are selfish. I would promote left wing ideologies as a teacher if I believed that it would mean I get paid a fortune... I lie, the Army taught me principals and I was happy to not have a pay rise to sort out Labour’s deficit. Oh and before you... 6/
...argue against that point. Pre-crash the U.K. had the largest structural deficit in Europe! Which is why it was harder/slower to recover.

Summary, why do you think you work harder than everyone else and need to always point it out?
