“That’s the problem with a lot of people”, he said, “they don’t try to do stuff that’s never been done before"

This is the story of a chance encounter that changed my life:
2/ I met Russell on a random chance encounter in a Portland coffee shop several years ago. His offhand comments about the mac I was working on changed my perspective on work, challenge, and doing things that haven't been done before.
3/ What could have been a chance encounter with an elder at a coffee shop turned into a sort of wake up call from the inventor of the first programmable computer and creator of the pixel!
4/ In the span of about 10 minutes, he upended my naive thought of the the impossible and left me with one statement and one challenge that changed my outlook forever.
5/ The statement: "Nothing is withheld from us which we have conceived to do."
6/ The challenge: "Do things that have never been done."
8/ "Do things that have never been done." Great words from a remarkable man. Thanks for setting the example Russell. Time to step it up.
