People throw around warming of 2°C or 3°C this century as if it's nothing. The last ice age was about 5°C (10°F) colder than today & it was a completely different planet, w/ ice sheets covering much of N. American & sea level 300 ft lower.
2-3°C will completely remake the face of the planet.
rule of thumb: to convert temperature CHANGES in °C to °F, just multiply by two. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR ABSOLUTE TEMPERATURES.

A point definitely worth making: warming from last glacial maximum to holocene took 10,000 years. Comparable human warming will take 100-200 years. That's a rate of warming 50-100x faster. https://twitter.com/DumbSci/status/1295448501803917312?s=20
