It's really weird to see people freaking out about the postal service right now when the postal service couldn't get them to worry about the fact that they couldn't borrow anymore money for a real good while and there was a big effort for an overhaul that ran around 2010-2014
they had hit their borrowing limit & ppl just said "IDK there's more important stuff going on"
but they literally didn't have any money more to borrow and the fleet was falling apart and all the same problems were in the future: millions in unfunded liabilities for retirement

pandemic shock comes & things appear to be in trouble though no one can message clearly (union & USPS assert they can handle election mail)
Don't lose sight: WaPo reported the PREVIOUS POSTMASTER was in place when 46 state ballot warnings were issued. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/md-politics/usps-states-delayed-mail-in-ballots/2020/08/14/64bf3c3c-dcc7-11ea-8051-d5f887d73381_story.html

People need to be super careful when they're throwing out accusations about USPS. Maybe he was hired to implement some of this stuff and it could have been a priority for the PRIOR PM GENERAL? https://about.usps.com/who-we-are/postal-history/list-of-postmasters-general.htm
