Ahem, little interruption because the next part is about the
chapter/episode “Portrait of a father”. This part will be very long, and the subjects can be really heavy for some people. If you are sensitive, you can skip this part. I will put all the TW here so you can see if

-Removed: The whole thing about the gun is inexistent in the anime (1st pic)

Removed: The first part of Atsushi flashback is totally erased from the anime.

-We can see all the abuse and injustice he went through.
-How worked the orphanage with that system of “points”
-How unfair the orphanage was in general

Removed: Akutagawa appearance is totally erased from the episode. His presence was so important but in the anime he is not there. He was the one to explain what's happened to Atsushi. No matter how much I think about it,

+ I don't understand why it was removed like this. It was just so important

Removed: We can see the headmaster backstory, and how it affected him (ofc it doesn't justify anything) but I think the way the orphanage worked was mostly due to his traumatisms caused by the war. We can understand more why

he acted like this.

-Modified: The way Dazai act in this chapter feel quite different in between the anime and the manga. In the anime, he listened to Atsushi and Tanizaki discussion while laying down on roof and hedidn’t answer to Tanizaki question. But in the manga he stand up and answer to Juni

Modified: In the anime, Dazai stand up during the whole discussion. But in the manga he sit with Atsushi. It can seems like a detail but it's not for me. He sat beside Atsushi and it show more how he's willing to listen to him,

in the anime he stay up just and leaves after saying what he wanted to say (21:45)

Episode 7
