...the CFL, member clubs & PA will need to work better together in coming weeks, months and years in order to contain the mid-long term damage to the league. Easy to make the Federal government the bad guy here but COVID-19 has exposed some real fundamental weaknesses in CFL...
...the PA and players were not/are not seen as true partners in the league by at least some in its Board of Governors. In fact, divisions within the BOG are one of the reasons the right deal/plan didn’t get done & why the CFL has been so quiet throughout the salvaging process...
...centralized ownership and unified decision-making are two of the reasons the CFL’s two smaller domestic league cousins — the @CPLsoccer and @CEBLeague — found a way to bridge to 2021 with tournaments/shortened seasons. They got it done; the CFL didn’t.
