Here’s 10 factors to look for in selecting a crypto asset. The 10 points spell the acronym SPACESUIT X

1) Security — this should be the foundation of any project. Is it secure? How? Why? What method prevents attacks?

👇👇👇
2/ Participation

What are you getting for your investment?
What does it entitle you to participate in?
Do you get a share of earnings? Is it is a security? Do you own part of an enterprise? Is it an API key? Governance? If so, for what? Does it have actual utility?
3/ Accounting & Legal

How are units calculated & verified?
Is the token legal? Why or why not?

What is the corporate structure? Where and how does the money flow? Are there auditors needed? Are there legal implications for the managers?
Is the chain public? Open source?
4/ Community, Management & Team

Who is working on this? What is the structure? Does the project attract builders? Who can build on it? How many people care about this and why? What do they do to support it? If it raised money, what is the track record of the founders?
5/ Earnings

What is the transaction volume? Does this project earn anything? If so, how? Does it sell something from its own ecosystem or bring in outside value? Are earnings from speculation?
What is the likely future growth?
How does the token capture some of these earnings?
6/ Supply & Demand

What is the supply? What is the demand? Why?
Is the supply fixed or variable? Who has the power to change issuance / monetary policy? By what method? Issuance?
What is the global order book market depth? Volume? Who controls large amounts of coins?
7/ Usability

What will the token be used for? Is the project a useful application? Does the token represent something else of value? What? How? What does this token, coin or project do? What is the problem solved by this? Do people or will people use it? Why?
8/ Industry/ Institutional

Do exchanges & others support this?
Are corporations or VCs participating? Do companies build businesses around this? Does the project have major industry or non-industry partners? What is the overall market direction? What’s the state of the industry?
9/ Technical
What are the technical details? If this is using a blockchain does it need one? How much has this been tested? Are the speed & efficiency drawbacks of a blockchain worth it for this project? Why? Is this blockchain open or permissioned? How resistant to censorship?
10/ X Factor

What other factors would you like to include in your analysis? What is the overall thesis? Why will the markets place value on it? What other risks are there? The X Factor slot is your chance to add any criteria that was missed.

These terms make an acronym called SPACESUIT X

You can assign each of the above criteria a score of 0-10 based on how strong you believe the project to be in each area.

Total these scores and you have a score from 0-100 that gives you a great base for discussion
