The DNC lineup makes perfect sense from inside the party- centrists have officially hit a brick wall with the left and the only way they can expand their voter base is from republicans. It’s gonna cost them the election but they’d rather lose the election than lose the party

You’re a centrist politician and all of your support comes from wealthy liberals. Reaching out to the left may theoretically bring you more voters, but you can’t do it without compromising on your promises to backers. So you try to nibble off the edges of the Republican Party.

Also: if you’re trying to pick off centrist GOPers, you’re ALWAYS going to get underbid by the GOP itself. Good luck competing with a short term cap gains tax cut. Hell, you might even lose @CurtisRemarc to a policy like that
